01 / Who we are

Creative Quotient is operated by Louis Kidd, an Australian sole trader trading as Creative Quotient. This policy explains how information is handled through www.cqmedia.tv and when you contact us about a project.

02 / Information you share

Our Contact form and Project Builder collect your name and email address, along with any business name, phone number, project selections and notes you choose to provide. Notes may include goals, dates and other project details. We also receive information you send directly by email or discuss with us.

Please only include information relevant to your enquiry, and avoid sending sensitive information or other people’s personal details unless needed for the project.

03 / How we use enquiries

We use your information to respond, understand your requirements, discuss scope and costs, and communicate about your project. We also process technical information to protect the website, limit spam and avoid duplicate submissions.

A normal project enquiry is not marketing consent. This website does not currently offer a mailing-list subscription or marketing opt-in, and submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing messages.

04 / Processing and service providers

Cloudflare hosts the website and processes form submissions. Its Turnstile service checks submissions for abuse. Resend sends the project notification to CQ and a confirmation to you. CQ receives business correspondence through Microsoft 365.

Your project brief is sent by email. Cloudflare D1 stores submission references, delivery receipts and security information used for rate limiting and duplicate protection; it does not store the full brief or plain-text names, email addresses, IP addresses or security tokens. Security processing separately uses request information, including your IP address, and hashed identifiers.

These providers process information in delivering their services. Some service providers may process or store information outside Australia. For further information about their handling of technical information, storage and retention, see their privacy policies: Cloudflare, Resend and Microsoft. Contact us if you need further details about how your enquiry is handled.

05 / Website storage and embedded media

The website uses browser session storage to remember Project Builder selections and support submission retries without sending duplicate emails. Retry records contain a submission hash, reference and result rather than your written enquiry. Project selections can also be carried in the Contact page URL.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure website traffic and performance through real user measurements (RUM). Cloudflare automatically adds a JavaScript measurement script to the website. Technical information, such as page views, browser and device details, and page-loading performance, may be processed to provide these measurements. Cloudflare describes this service as privacy-first: it does not use cookies or local storage for analytics, or fingerprint individual visitors. Google Analytics, Meta Pixel and Microsoft Clarity are not currently implemented.

Hosting, security and embedded-media services may separately process technical information about your visit, such as IP address, browser details and requests, and may use cookies or similar technologies as described in their policies.

Some portfolio films are embedded from Vimeo. Loading or using those players connects your browser to Vimeo. The players use Vimeo’s do-not-track setting, but this does not mean no information is processed. See Vimeo’s Privacy Policy. Browser settings can limit cookies and storage, although some features may then work differently.

06 / Retention and your requests

Enquiry correspondence is held in email systems, while delivery receipts and security records are held separately. There is no automatic deletion schedule for submission receipts. Retention depends on the record, its purpose and the service involved; this policy does not promise a fixed deletion period.

You can ask what information CQ holds about you, request a correction or deletion, or raise a privacy concern by emailing louis@cqmedia.tv. Please describe your request without including unnecessary sensitive details. We may need to confirm your identity and clarify the records involved. Any limits on a request can be discussed with you, including records needed for ongoing work or applicable obligations.

We will review privacy concerns, investigate where appropriate and respond with our findings or next steps.

We may update this policy when our services or information-handling practices change. The current version will appear on this page with its updated date.
